La compagnie la Teneur est une fabrique d’aventures poétiques où s’entremêlent les arts vivants.
À la croisée de la danse, du théâtre et de la performance elle crée des univers, cultive un mystère et dans un esprit convivial, invite son public à se mettre en mouvement.
Fondée en 2017, à l’initiative de la danseuse et chorégraphe Chloé Beillevaire, la compagnie La Teneur se destine à créer des spectacles aux divers formats, avec pour langages la danse contemporaine, le théâtre physique, la performance et la musique. Les maîtres-mots de la chorégraphe sont la virtuosité, l’humour, la poésie de l’absurde et l’irréel.
La compagnie par son nom évoque ce qui tient, ce qui contient. Du latin « tenor » ce mot polysémique est le contenu essentiel d’une chose, la proportion d’une substance dans un corps, dans un mélange et, en musique, la note dominante, le point d’appui, le pivot de la mélodie, la voix sur laquelle s’élaborent, s’ordonnent et s’articulent les autres voix.
L’ambition de La Teneur est de rassembler les pensées, de réunir les talents, de soutenir le caractère expérimental, novateur et critique des arts visuels et contemporains; créer un champ de réflexion transdisciplinaire grâce à l’élaboration d’alliances et de partenariats.
Captivée par les sensations et les tourments de l’être humain, Chloé Beillevaire affuble ses oeuvres de personnages immergés dans des univers où la réalité et l’imaginaire se confondent. Face à l’indicible, ils se retrouvent dépossédés de leur corps, l’esprit en perte de repères et n’ont pour seule échappatoire, que de se réinventer de manière créative.
La compagnie La Teneur invite à réfléchir à l’ambivalence des mots, l’instabilité des éléments et au paradoxe de l’équilibre qui, toujours fragile provoque le changement, la métamorphose vers une renaissance.

Founded in 2017, on the initiative of dancer and choreographer Chloé Beillevaire, the company La Teneur aims to create shows in various formats, using contemporary dance, physical theatre, performance and music as languages. The key words of the choreographer are virtuosity, humor, the poetry of the absurd and the unreal.
The company by its name evokes what holds, what contains. From the Latin "tenor" this polysemous word is the essential content of a thing, the proportion of a substance in a body, in a mixture and, in music, the dominant note, the fulcrum, the pivot of the melody , the voice on which the other voices are elaborated, ordered and articulated.
The ambition of La Teneur is to bring together thoughts, bring together talents, support the experimental, innovative and critical character of visual and contemporary arts; create a field of multi-disciplinary reflection through the development of alliances and partnerships.
Captivated by the sensations and torments of human beings, Chloé Beillevaire adorns her works with characters immersed in universes where reality and imagination merge. Faced with the unspeakable, they find themselves dispossessed of their bodies, their minds losing their bearings and their only escape is to reinvent themselves creatively.
The company La Teneur invites us to reflect on the ambivalence of words, the instability of the elements and the paradox of the balance which, always fragile, provokes change, the metamorphosis towards a rebirth.
