THE SHADOW OF THE SOUTH
In the framework of BRUSSEL DANCE

Chloé Beillevaire joins the Pépinière artistique du Garage29 with this first creation with Natalia Vallebona.
During the two weeks of residency, the two artists explore their relationship and invite the public to discover the outcome during two evening presentations. During the first week of work, the young choreographers offer a workshop to professional dancers on the themes of their duet The shadow of the south.
Once she is alone again, she gets lost in the meanderings of her mind, lost in her doubts and confusions. Abandoned and manipulated, she defends herself, lets herself be devoured, seeks balance, aspiring to serenity. Alone with herself, her soul confronts and fights against this infinite space which both embitters and satisfies her. On one side she lets herself be lulled by her desires and on the other tormented by streams of obsessions. She will prostrate herself, show her teeth, shear her skin in pursuit of the ideal. The unattainable.
